Be Careful! I will steal your songs!

Dick’s Dog reunited on Monday night. We usually try to bring new songs every time we meet. On Monday Jack had two new ones and I had none.

But by the end of the night I promised to steal both of his new songs. Boy, Jack can pick ‘em. but I can steal ‘em!!!

First: “Vibe so hot” by Benji Hughes….
[D] [Em]
You’ve got a vibe so hot
[G] [D]
You’re really, really turning me on
[D] [Em]
Swimming in your parking lot
[G] [D]
I’m singing in a camp on your lawn

[G] [A] [D]
And everyday without you is just a waste of time
[G] [A] [D]
You’re the first thing on my mind when I wake up
[Em] [A]
You’re the last thing that I think of when I go to sleep
[Em] [A]
I’m throwing you my love, so pick it up

[Bm] [A] [Em]
And you can have me anytime you want
[Bm] [A] [Em]
You can have me, really, anytime you want
[Bm] [A] [Em]
You can have me anytime you want
[Bm] [A] [Em
You can have me, really, anytime you want

[G]
I want you now
[D]
I want you right now
[Em] [G]
I want you right now
[D]
I want you right now

Repeat this exactly for the second half of the song.

Rest of lyrics:

I want to hook you up
Girl, I’m gonna set you on fire
I wanna turn your volume up
And listen to you all day long
Now every other station’s just a memory

Ain’t it funny how you just keep running into me?
I’ve been listening to your music for a while

You can have me anytime you want
You can have me, really, anytime you want
You can have me anytime you want
You can have me, really, anytime you want

I want you now
I want you right now
I want you right now
I want you right now

I need to blog about stuff

I feel like I need to blog stuff. But I don’t really have anything to blog about right now. My blog posts are mostly personal and about shit that I’m into at the moment. This blog is not a work thing or a promotional tool for a company or product. I really just want to communicate. I want to stay in touch with friends and family. If strangers read it too, that’s cool.

So, here’s stuff about my life…..

- Personally, things are good. Happy. We’re looking forward to Halloween - The Boy’s going as a Spartan from the Halo games. We had a great weekend. We went pumpkin hunting. I took him to Skycraft (http://skycraftsurplus.com/). He’d never been before and was thrilled by all the parts, pieces, wire, gadgets and old rockets and bombs. I bought him a magnifying glass and we proceeded to BURN things (like leaves and bugs). Erin brought home “X-Men Origins” on Saturday night and he really seemed to like it. It wasn’t bad - lots of explosions!!! Yesterday The Boy took it easy most of the day while general cleaning and errands were done. We played “Battleship” on the XBOX 360 for a while. That was a lot of fun. Lots of smack talking!

- Professionally, things are fine. Still lots of question marks about how things are going to change, but I think we’re all feeling good about the direction and potential of the new company. I might be going to Singapore at Christmastime to allow someone to come home for the holiday. Working on a super-secret project at the office that I hope will see the light of day and not just be a big fat waste of my time. PCI re-cert chugs along as I get ready to do PA-DSS validation on our next version of software.

- Musically, I re-strung my Martin recently and remembered why I bought it in the first place. Looking to get Dick’s Dog together soon to play at Lake Eloa. Kicking around some lyrics, but not doing any serious writing. Started playing some songs I haven’t played in a while: “You’ve got to hide your love away”, “Let ‘em dangle”, and “All the world is green”. As far as what I’m listening to these days, still lots of re-mastered Beatles, new Avett Brothers, Bob Dylan Christmas album and lots os ‘Spectrum” on satellite radio.

- Health-wise, I have my good days. I have my bad days. You know, occasionally everyone gets a sore this or sore that. I do too. It’s hard to tell sometimes if it’s MS-related or not. I spent two days worried that I was having an attack when I had strained something in my thigh. I try to do my shots on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday each week - this gives me Friday, Saturday and most of Sunday off. However, after being off the shot for two days, I’m really sore most of Monday. The cooler weather has helped, but we’re back in the upper 80’s now. Can’t wait for sustained cooler temps!!!

So that’s it for now. I guess I had a little to say after all.
